Ok, ok, ok.... out of 4 trailers I heard the phrase "Tier 1 Operator" about 12 times. That's at least one strike against the media hype concerning MOH.
This is all fine and well and good and all that, BUT if I hear any of you guys "quoting" stupid little sayings from this game I'm gonna scream so loud it is gonna pop your ear drums!
"Tier 1 Operators" is a old, VERY old phase. Almost no one in the Military uses that phrase much. Guys in SOCOM units don't walk around referring to themselves as T1Os. They also don't use stupid little phrases like "foot mobiles" either!
I'm sure when the game is released there will be lots of little phrases that everyone will be so tempted to start using... but don't. First Hollywood and now game developers are trying to come up with cool little phrases that sound so high speed and awesome; phrase like "foot mobiles" and many others I care not to mention. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, and no ones talks like that except those bonehead actors in the "generation kill" movies. Yes, Generation Kill was a good mini series, and I enjoyed watching most of it. It was however, laced with lots of BS. The director should have spent more time just telling the story instead of wasting so much time inventing a Language that did not exist at the time. So PLEASE do me and your ears a favor by not over using "catchey" little phrases like that. |

| I agree. The PC Gamer preview kept on referring to these "elite", "not-average" "Tier 1 Operators". Why not just call them special forces, or bad-asses? Coming from a group that apparently interviewed many of these "Tier 1 Operators", you'd think they'd have used proper terminology. Of course, that's what the interviewees might have called themselves. |

This sums it up nicely. It's from a story I read somewhere about a conversion between two guys in a bar. It goes like this:
Feigning a look of ignorance: "An Operator you say? That's cool.
So, heavy equipment, radios...?"
"No, I'm an Operator, black ops, classified operations...get it?"
"Oh, OK, sorry. I did not know what you meant when you said "Operator".
"That's alright, it's all classified anyway, I'm not supposed to even say anything about it, but you seem like an OK guy. Tell you what, if you buy me a drink I'll forget that I'm supposed to kill you now." -laughs
"Oh yeah my pleasure." "Hey Jake, I'll have another one, and get Mr. FUCKINPOSER here some SHUT THE FUCK UP in a cup to go!" |

New TF21 recruiting slogan: STEP UP TO TIER 2
This game only confirms that I have no need to upgrade my computer ever again. |

| BC2 owners on steam get access to the MoH Beta today. Played on it for a bit. LOTS AND LOTS OF BUGS. Constant CTD crashes coupled with freezing and unusable menu options makes this a poor impression. Gameplay wise, it's a mix of MW2 and BC2. The weapons feel like there is almost no recoil. The 2 game modes (might be more, but both of these were the most popular) was basically team deathmatch and a rush/push type map where one team defends an objective, the other team has to attack. VOIP ingame does NOT work, neither can you change controls or set your own without freezing the goddamn beta itself. Somewhat promising gameplay, but due to the constant CTDs, I recommend avoiding it until they patch it. |

Sounds a bit strange to me...
With this game due out in October you would think any Beta would be highly "polished" by now. Sort of makes me think that they may not make the release date set for Oct 10th. Hopefully they will release another Beta build this week that resolves all those issues.
Maybe the next release will be available to everyone. Hell at this point I was looking for a complete Demo, not a Beta from them. Things that make ya go, hmmm.... |

Ya and it does not look good for it. Down at the bottom when it talks about the beta, says you need Xbox Gold membership to get it, so that means it well be released to CONSOLE and PC platforms, which is fucked up.
